Motif Pro / Product direction

A clearer
way forward.

First, make creation dependable. Then connect external design, saved studies, the workspace, and final delivery.

Five phases. Dependency-led, not date-promised.

Start here / Phase 01

Generation reliability before broader polish.

Missing anchors, artwork manifests larger than eight, and a recoverable draft when a stage fails. No automatic paid retries.

Current work
01—05 / Product sequence

This is the delivery plan, not a live completion tracker. Recorded checkpoints describe prior work; each phase still has an explicit release gate.

01

Current

Missing anchors · large artwork manifests · recoverable stages

Make every start recoverable.

Close the generation reliability loop before expanding the workflow.

End-to-end sequence

  1. 1 /Start a new AI design project and recover missing navigation targets in the returned design.
  2. 2 /Normalize artwork manifests larger than eight without automatically buying another generation attempt.
  3. 3 /Keep the last usable draft after a failed stage, explain what failed, and offer a deliberate resume or correction.

Ready when

A missing-anchor or large-manifest response leaves a usable study, or a saved draft with a clear next action, without an automatic paid retry.

First priority. Later phases build on a reliable creation state.

Checkpoint context

Recorded checkpoints: navigation-anchor recovery and artwork-manifest normalization beyond eight items. End-to-end confirmation is still a release gate.

02

Next

Copy prompt · import HTML/CSS and project data · attach artwork

Bring the design back in.

Finish the ChatGPT-first path from external prompt to editable project.

End-to-end sequence

  1. 1 /Open the ChatGPT handoff and copy the project-specific prompt for use externally.
  2. 2 /Import the returned HTML/CSS and structured project data, then connect the matching artwork.
  3. 3 /Save and reopen the imported result as a full editable study without invoking paid AI generation.

Ready when

A new external response can become a saved, editable project with its artwork intact and no Base44 AI generation required for the import.

Depends on phase 01 recovery behavior.

Checkpoint context

Recorded checkpoints: a permanent ChatGPT header entry and prompt/import handoff. The full import-to-edit journey remains the acceptance target.

03

Next

Autosave · reopen and recover · approved-reference comparison

Trust what is saved.

Keep saved studies, live thumbnails, and reference review aligned.

End-to-end sequence

  1. 1 /Show a thumbnail of the actual generated or imported study rather than a generic substitute.
  2. 2 /Autosave edits and allow the same study to be reopened or recovered after interruption.
  3. 3 /Compare the edited page with the approved reference and clearly identify missing artwork.

Ready when

Reopening a saved study preserves its latest edits; its thumbnail matches the study and missing artwork stays visible during comparison.

Depends on a stable imported/generated project from phases 01–02.

Checkpoint context

Recorded checkpoints: autosaved generated studies, study-matching thumbnails, visual controls, approved comparison, and missing-artwork status.

04

Later

Designs · palettes · notes · sketches · project management

Keep the workspace coherent.

Make the project the dependable home for all design material.

End-to-end sequence

  1. 1 /Keep designs, color palettes, notes, and sketches together in their project.
  2. 2 /Reopen and edit local projects while preserving the anonymous creation path.
  3. 3 /Reflect saved changes in the project list and allow deliberate removal of old projects.

Ready when

Create, edit, reopen, and remove a project with its design material intact and its listing up to date.

Depends on phase 03 persistence and recovery.

Checkpoint context

Existing workspace scope includes local projects and project deletion. This phase prioritizes consistency across those existing tools, not a new storage system.

05

Later

Client review · version-specific feedback · PNG/PDF and slides

Review, then deliver.

Close the loop between the approved version and the exported work.

End-to-end sequence

  1. 1 /Share a specific project version for client review.
  2. 2 /Associate feedback with that reviewed version so later edits do not obscure the decision.
  3. 3 /Export the finished study in supported PNG/PDF or slide formats and keep the output aligned with the reviewed design.

Ready when

A reviewer can respond to the shared version and the creator can deliver a supported export of the intended final study.

Depends on stable saved versions from phases 03–04.

Checkpoint context

Existing review and export capabilities are the starting point. Prioritize the supported formats and version fidelity rather than adding new delivery channels.

Guardrails throughout: preserve anonymous creation and local project storage, reuse the existing review/export tools, and make every phase independently usable.
